Fountain Hills Theater is proud to announce that the author of the current Arizona premiere of the hit musical Disenchanted will be attending the May 24th performance. Mr. Giacino will be accompanied by Fiely Matias, the production's original off-Broadway director. Both creators will remain following the performance for a talk back in which they will answer the audience's questions and audience members will have the opportunity to meet The Princess Posse that stars in the FHT production.

A few years back, Dear Readers, I stumbled on an article about a new little show called 'Disenchanted', about Fairy Tale Princesses in a musical revue telling about how life ain't so happily ever after and since I always love a good dose of snark I instantly became obsessed. I followed its journey, hoping it might come to a city near me or at least one I was visiting and even corresponded with the creators, book writer, composer and lyricist Dennis T Giancino and director Fiely A Matias who were kind enough to get me some sample recordings which only deepened my obsession (and put Siri in a tizzy as she has to censor herself when attempting to repeat back to me the original title). Well now, by the grace of the theater Gods and the good folks at Mamches Productions, that wonderful revue has come to Seattle and with the original creators in tow with Giancino directing this time and Matias assisting. And while the gloriousness of those scathing songs is there, the show itself needs a bit more settling time and some technical help to be truly great.

Following rave reviews and sold-out performances, DISENCHANTED! has added another week of performances at The Abbey in downtown Orlando. Previously scheduled to close on October 27th, the show will now run through November 3rd.
Orlando, Florida is one of the few places in the world that people directly correlate the city with fairy tale princesses. Orlando is also where it all started for creators Dennis Giacino and Fiely Matias, who were tired to the same old happily ever after stories. DISENCHANTED tells the tale of nine princesses who are tired of living the stereotypes.
We're all familiar with their stories... up until the 'happily ever after,' that is. But what do those infamous princesses of the fairy tales really think in this modern world we live in? You'll find out if you attend the Upper Midwest premiere of DISENCHANTED!, a musical comedy coming to the Ritz Theater in Northeast Minneapolis beginning Sept. 26 for a three-week run.
