TLC Gets Exclusive U.S. Broadcast Rights for the Royal Wedding of Princess Eugenie

TLC, the premier destination for all things wedding, will be the exclusive U.S. broadcast partner for the royal wedding of Princess Eugenie of York, the daughter of HRH Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Duke and Duchess of York, and her partner of eight years, Jack Brooksbank, on Friday, October 12. Hosted by UK television personalities Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford (ITV's “This Morning”), the festivities will begin at 4:25 AM ET/PT delivering a front row seat to this year's second royal wedding at Windsor Castle, promising even more fashion, glamor and regal delight!

BWW Review: Amanda Duarte Puts on a Performance of Certainty in STAYING ALIVE

The title of Amanda Duarte's show at Joe's Pub, STAYING ALIVE, suggests that she is hanging by a thread. Perhaps the desperation implied in the title led me to think we'd see Duarte portraying a woman in the middle of a crisis. Instead, we were given a still-struggling-but-mostly-strutting-on-the-other-side-of-trauma kickass woman, captivating us with her presence, singing, playful dancing, and storytelling.

Los Angeles Performance Practice Presents the LAX Festival

Los Angeles Performance Practice presents its annual LAX Festival, which serves as a highly visible platform that supports hundreds of local artists each year, and reaches thousands of audience members in the greater Los Angeles area. The Los Angeles Exchange [LAX] Festival, 6th Ed. will run for ten days from Thursday, October 11 through Sunday, October 21, 2018 at participating venues around town. With performances and events that are geographically focused in and around Downtown L.A., the festival program hosts an eclectic array of contemporary performances by Los Angeles-based artists, presented in dialogue with works by guest artists from outside the city's limits. WAITRESS International Premiere Announces Full Cast

Atlantis Theatrical Entertainment Group has announced the full cast of the international premiere of the Tony-nominated musical WAITRESS. The show, which continues to run on Broadway and will open in London's West End next year, features music and lyrics from six-time Grammy nominee Sara Bareilles, and will open on November 9, 2018, at the Carols P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza in Manila.

The Woman Who Went to Space as a Man - Part fact, part fever dream, and part musical, this captivating new work opens with Alice B. Sheldon - better known to sci-fi aficionados as author James Tiptree, Jr. - contemplating suicide. Dodging in and out of reality, the play, with a bold musical score from award-winning world music artist Yuval Ron, investigates gender, longing and creativity as self-exploration through one of the science fiction world's greatest literary tricksters.

KITTY HAWK Returns to the Arsht Center

The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County announces the second season of Kitty Hawk, a STEAM-focused (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) program that is part-curriculum, part-performance and all inspiration. Kitty Hawk is a part of the Center's Learning Through the Arts initiative, which reaches nearly 60,000 students annually. The program aims to bridge the STEM gap by integrating the arts through a musical performance, an art-infused curriculum and a series of hands-on workshops for seventh graders in Miami-Dade County. Kitty Hawk kicks off Oct. 1 with two weeks of performances of the musical created by the Center which tells the story of Wilbur and Orville Wright's historic first flight at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina in 1903.

Troubadour Theater Company Returns To El Portal Theatre with THE YEAR WITHOUT A SANTANA CLAUS

Oye Como Va! In NoHo this season the Troubies turn up the heat on their annual holiday send-up on the Debbie Reynolds Mainstage at the historic El Portal Theatre.  The band will be pumping and hips will be swinging as the Ovation Award winning, Los Angeles-based Troubadour Theater Company presents The Year Without a Santana Claus, a musical parody which fuses the music of Carlos Santana and the Rankin & Bass 70's claymation TV special The Year Without A Santa Claus.  The company's Master of Mayhem and Artistic Director Matt Walker directs.

UNCLE VANYA Extends Through October 28th At Hunter Theater Project

The Hunter Theater Project at Hunter College (President, Jennifer J. Raab) announced a two-week extension today for the critically acclaimed New York premiere of Anton Chekhov's UNCLE VANYA, directed by Richard Nelson, at the Frederick Loewe Theater (E. 68th Street between Lexington and Park Ave). Translated by Richard Nelson, Richard Pevear, and Larissa Volokhonsky, and directed by Nelson, UNCLE VANYA began performances on Friday, September 7 and was originally scheduled to run through October 14.
