Troubadour Theater Company Returns To El Portal Theatre with THE YEAR WITHOUT A SANTANA CLAUS Oye Como Va! In NoHo this season the Troubies turn up the heat on their annual holiday send-up on the Debbie Reynolds Mainstage at the historic El Portal Theatre. The band will be pumping and hips will be swinging as the Ovation Award winning, Los Angeles-based Troubadour Theater Company presents The Year Without a Santana Claus, a musical parody which fuses the music of Carlos Santana and the Rankin & Bass 70's claymation TV special The Year Without A Santa Claus. The company's Master of Mayhem and Artistic Director Matt Walker directs.

Santa's gonna need a BLACK MAGIC WOMAN this year 'cause he's real sick with a CORAZON ESPINADO. Poor Santa feels like he has NO ONE TO DEPEND ON and to make matters worse THIS BOY'S FIRE is comin' in at a fever of 102. It's no wonder - the ol' guy can't be EVERYBODY'S EVERYTHING!!! One thing's for certain - Santa's in need of a serious vacay. Maybe he'll vacation on Mars and attend an INTERPLANETARY PARTY? Or maybe he'll play it SMOOTH and lay low down south in Cabo. Will the Heatmiser tell his brother the Snowmiser to change his EVIL WAYS? Will Santa say "Hey, Mrs. Claus WHY DON'T YOU AND I get together and take a snowboarding lesson?" Will the Troubies come to the rescue and save Christmas? This holiday season bring the familia to the El Portal and party and laugh INTO THE NIGHT!!!

The Troubies' annual holiday show has become a tradition in Los Angeles and this will be their 17th in a long line of productions bringing guffaws and groans to the most festive time of the year. In this hilarious spoof the Troubies' signature mix of theatricality and mayhem will provide laughs aplenty featuring their renowned musical, comedic style.

Performances of The Year Without a Santana Claus run December 8-30, 2017 at the El Portal Theatre located at 5269 Lankershim Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91601. Performances are Wed - Fri at 8pm, Sat at 4pm & 8pm and Sun at 4pm. Join the Troubies after the matinees on Sunday Dec. 16 and Dec. 23 for a festive evening of Chips, Salsa and Dancing!
