World Premiere Of DIALEKTIKON Comes To Park Theatre

Ex Nihilo Theatre Group in association with Park Theatre are proud to present the World Premiere of Dialektikon by Jacky Ivimy. DIALEKTIKON is a deliciously dark 'down-the-rabbit-hole' tale of a young woman on a journey to find herself, her courage and hope for a world in danger. The production runs from 6th - 29th December. Press night is on Monday 10th December at 7pm.

Rose Theatre Kingston Announces Spring 2019 Season

With the world premiere double-bill of Nick Dear's Hogarth's Progress currently playing at Rose Theatre Kingston as part of its 10th anniversary season, the company today announces its Spring 2019 season. This will be the first season presented in the venue's newly reconfigured auditorium, with developments taking place in January 2019 following a capital fundraising programme.

Last month, we dissected blood, guts and more with The Lieutenant of Inishmore and Tamburlaine. This time, we're exploring the setup required to leave characters like that, 'Torn and twisted at the foot of a burning bike'. Tech Assistant Stage Manager for Bat Out of Hell, Gary Wall has been with the production since its first run in Manchester. Talking bats and bikes, Gary reveals the 'backstage ballet' that is automation, and just how many cues a show of this scale has.

He's The President, can you believe it?! The White House today announced that the team from The President Show is back with an all-new special on Comedy Central. Set in the year 2030, the special looks back at the last days of the Trump Administration through the eyes of its key members. Creator, Executive Producer, Star and Commander in Chief himself, Anthony Atamanuik, returns as President Donald Trump and the following guest stars are also back to reprise their roles as cabinet members: Peter Grosz as Trump's sidekick, Vice President Mike Pence, Kathy Griffin as Kellyanne Conway, Mario Cantone as Anthony Scaramucci, Adam Pally as Donald Trump Jr. and John Gemberling as Steve Bannon. Stephanie March will make her debut as Trump's favorite daughter, Ivanka Trump. A President Show Documentary: The Fall Of Donald Trump will debut on Monday, October 22 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT.

CSC Presents Caryl Churchill Double-Bill BLUE KETTLE & HERE WE GO

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, Founding Artistic Director Steven Maler, announced the cast of the first production of its 2018-19 Season: Universe Rushing Apart: Blue Kettle & Here We Go, two one-act plays by Caryl Churchill, directed by Bryn Boice. The production runs November 7-18 at the Black Box Theater, Sorenson Center for the Arts at Babson College in Wellesley.

Philadelphia Theatre Company Kicks Off 44th Season With Pennsylvania Premiere Of Lynn Nottage's SWEAT

Philadelphia Theatre Company kicks off the 2018-2019 with the Pennsylvania premiere of Lynn Nottage's Sweat. This Pulitzer Prize for Drama winner explores Reading, Pennsylvania's shrinking industrial economy and shares the fear, tragedy and hopefulness of a community on the verge of inevitable change. The production will kick-off the first produced season under new Producing Artistic Director Paige Price. Justin Emeka makes his Philadelphia debut directing a cast filled with local stars and Barrymore Award winners who have extensive theatre, film and television credits. Sweat will run from October 12 to November 4, 2018 at Philadelphia Theatre Company's stage at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre, 480 S. Broad Street. Opening Night is Wednesday, October 17th at 7:00pm. Tickets range from $25-$69 and are available in person at the box office, online at philatheatreco.org or by phone at 215-985-0420. Season subscriptions are also now available starting at $38.

San Diego Symphony Announces Annual January Festival

The San Diego Symphony's annual January Festival returns in its fourth year entitled, Hearing the Future. Throughout the festival, which runs January 9 - 27, 2019, the organization explores and celebrates the power of music and art to give voice to the evolution and revolutions in the world at large. The festival, curated by composer-conductor Matthew Aucoin (b.1990), will shine a spotlight on the music being made today - from composers and performers who are still in high school, to a 90-year-old jazz master. The festival will also explore the way music from the past - from Haydn, Beethoven and Berlioz to the creators of African-American spirituals - engaged with the most urgent issues of their time.

Sequenced in chronological order, 'Timeless' spans decades of Bee Gees smash hits, from their first Australian chart-topper, 1966's 'Spicks and Specks' to 'How Deep Is Your Love,' 'Night Fever,' and 'Stayin' Alive' from Saturday Night Fever to 1987's UK Number One single 'You Win Again.'

Page For Stage: A Playwriting Workshop Comes to Teatro Paraguas

Teatro Paraguas will be hosting a workshop for playwrights today, September 22 from 10:00 through 1:30, facilitated by professional playwright Mark Dunn. Lunch will be included in the workshop fee of $15. The workshop will explore the mechanics of telling stories through the medium of theater.
