The cast of The Color Purple returned to the Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway) after nearly 3-weeks of work-stoppage due to the stagehands' strike.

The Color Purple's Fantasia, who was originally scheduled to play Celie in the hit musical through this October, will now star in the show through January 6th, 2008
