This production is, in a word - 'tight'. The many facets and elements of the script, costuming, sound, lighting, sets, direction, and cast are all notable in their own right. This is a case where they come together and the whole is, indeed, greater than the sum of the parts. Ma-Yi Theater Company's world premiere of Felix Starro, a new musical by Jessica Hagedorn and Fabian Obispo, opened at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd St.) last night. Scroll down for photos of the opening night party at The Brazen Tavern.

Ralph B. Peña is currently directing Ma-Yi's Felix Starro Off-Broadway at Theatre Row. The new musical is making an impact on both audience members and the history books as it marks the first time a musical created by Filipino-Americans will be presented Off-Broadway. Peña took the time to chat with BroadwayWorld about the upcoming production.

The Acting Company presents Measure for Measure, playing through August 24, 2019 at the Duke on 42nd Street (229 W. 42nd Street), with opening night for both plays set for Sunday, July 28, 2019.
