MCP is excited to announce the cast for the final show of its 27th season 'Annie - the musical'. The production won seven Tony Awards in 1977, including Best Musical, and there have been three different film versions of the musical. The show is being directed by Josie French of Lewiston, assistant directed by Tim MacLeod of Auburn, musical direction by Colleen Mahan of Green and produced by Cindy Dunham of Windham.

Xerxes is the King, and the King gets what he wants. Unless it's Romilda, who is in love with the King's brother, Arsamene. In Handel's 40th opera, the humor and absurdity of love is presented.

Under the direction and choreography of Robert Kolby Harper, a cast of sparkling talents brings scads of oxygen and energy to William Finn's A NEW BRAIN the second featured production of ASU Lyric Opera Theatre's current season.

ASU Lyric Opera is fulfilling Bed ich Smetana's vision in a production that is resplendent with vocal excellence (Emily Botts, Justin Carpenter), spirited choreography (by the terrific Molly LaJoie), the vibrant colors of Alfredo Escarcega's set and Sharon Jones's costumes, the brilliant instincts of Director Dale Dreyfoos, and a highly gifted ensemble. The show runs through October 1st at ASU's Evelyn Smith Music Theatre.

The 2011-2012 Bay Street Players Dolly Award winners were announced during the 37th Annual Dolly Award event, "Night of the Stars." The gala evening took place Saturday evening August 18, 2012 at the Historic State Theatre in Eustis. This event featured the opening of the theatre's newly remolded lobby extension.
