Towne Street Theatre's 'Passing' grew in scope and grandeur with each outing. With its setting of New York City in 1927, it stayed true to the book and was immersed in the flavor of the Harlem Renaissance - you experienced the music, the dance, and the rhythm of the roaring '20s.

Throughout social media, the conversation continues regarding the newly released film “Passing” based on the novella by Nella Larsen. One voice has decades of knowledge and expertise with Nella Larsen's Passing, and that is Towne Street Theatre. 

Hear Your Song, a national nonprofit based in New York City has released The Adventure of Zippy Junior, a video mini-musical written by 12-year-old Zippy and starring members of the original Broadway cast of The Lion King and the current Broadway cast of Dear Evan Hansen.

5-STAR THEATRICALS (formerly Cabrillo Music Theatre) presents a very special benefit event, ONE NIGHT ONLY - DREAMGIRLS IN CONCERT, music by Henry Krieger, book & lyrics by Tom Eyen, musical direction by Patrick Gandy, choreography by Lesia Kaye and directed by Robert Clater. DREAMGIRLS IN CONCERT will perform Saturday, February 16, 2018 at 8pm at the 1,800-seat Kavli Theatre at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 Thousand Oaks Boulevard in Thousand Oaks.    

Towne Street Theatre is proud to present a staged reading of Marked - A Musical ; written by Elizabeth Beauchamp, with music by Liliya Ugay. The one-night-only event, will take place at 7:30 pm tonight, August 12, 2014 at the Stella Adler Theatre, 6773 Hollywood Boulevard, 2nd Floor, (at Hollywood & Highland) in Los Angeles, CA 90028. In addition to a performance of the musical, the playwright and the composer will give the audience insights into their process of creating this promising new work.
