Portland Stage is pleased to present Babette's Feast, running Jan 23 through Feb 18 on the Mainstage. This production of Babette's Feast was conceived and developed by Portland Stage Affiliate Artist Abigail Killeen in a process that began over a decade ago. The production is made possible by the generous support of Jennifer Carolyn King & Timothy Fredel, the Rugged Elegance Foundation.

Long Wharf Theatre (LWT), in collaboration with Yale Repertory Theatre, is hosting the New Haven Regional August Wilson Monologue Competition (AWMC). Schools throughout the New Haven area will compete to send two winners on an all-expense paid trip to the National Competition in NYC where they will perform on a Broadway stage, see a Broadway play and have a chance to win college scholarships.

EgoPo Classic Theater's 25th Anniversary season devoted to John Guare is now in full swing. Coming up is the highlight of this season-long John Guare Festival: Guare's Lydie Breeze Trilogy, to be presented in its entirety for the very first time. EgoPo is tackling this epic piece of theatre about an American family, set between the Civil War and the birth of 20th-century industrialism, with three separate production runs of each part of the trilogy, followed by two weeks of three-day marathons and four opportunities for full day marathons.

Eugene O'Neill's The Iceman Cometh starring Tony and Oscar-winner Denzel Washington will play the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre beginning March 22nd, 2018. The production's opening night is currently set for April 26, 2018. Check out photos of the marquee below!

Pasadena Playhouse, the State Theatre of California, reinvents its theatre to present Gilbert and Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance, as reimagined by the Chicago theatre hooligans The Hypocrites. This wacky beach party with flying beach balls, rubber duckies, ukuleles, banjos, plastic swimming pools, and a tiki bar brings the audience on stage for a night they won't forget.

Kicking off the Park Avenue Armory's 2018 Season, director and playwright Simon Stone brings his heart-wrenching, Olivier Award-wining reinterpretation of Federico Garc a Lorca's 1934 play Yerma to the Wade Thompson Drill Hall. The production stars actress Billie Piper who will reprise the role for which she won the 2017 Olivier Award and the Natasha Richardson Award for Best Actress at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards in 2016.

Silk Road Rising (Chief Programming Officer Jamil Khoury and Executive Director Malik Gillani) is proud to announce the World Premiere of Through the Elevated Line, written by Novid Parsi and directed by Carin Silkaitis. The production will run on March 7th to April 15th, 2018 at Silk Road Rising located at 77 W. Washington St., Lower Level, Chicago, IL, 60602. The Press Opening is March 17 at 4:00pm.

New Village Arts is proud to announce its inaugural New Play Festival, FINAL DRAFT. In partnership with Oceanside's Bagby Beer Company, NVA will offer readings of three new plays, a playwriting workshop, and a panel discussion geared towards advancing the careers of playwrights, as well as local craft brewery beer tasting.

Artists Rep presents the World Premiere of Magellanica, by E.M. Lewis, directed by D maso Rodr guez from January 20 through February 18 on the theatre's Morrison Stage. Magellanica is a five-part epic play written by Oregon playwright E.M. Lewis. This production is made possible through major funding from the Oregon Community Foundation (OCF) Creative Heights Initiative and the Edgerton Foundation New Play Award. Magellanica is a part of Portland's Fertile Ground Festival of New Works.

Ensemble Studio Theatre (EST) has announced three World Premiere productions for the EST 2018 season.

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the seventh annual Roundabout Underground Reading Series, a five-night event that includes nightly readings of new works written and directed by emerging artists, as well as post-show receptions. The Reading Series will feature new works by Selina Fillinger, Harrison David Rivers, Korde Arrington Tuttle, Calamity West and Daniel Zaitchik.

Facing the loss of their only child, Ellie and Jane hunt for hope. But when Jane suggests cryogenics as a way of holding back the inevitable, Ellie tailspins. Forced to make a choice under unbearable circumstances, faced with the minutiae of every day life, and taxed by the weirdness of the human brain, this couple comes together, breaks apart, and grapples with the right thing to do in a situation with no guidepost. At Ellie's lowest, a chatty and exhausted young nurse manages to provide unexpected insight, but this decision could leave this once-happy couple in the cold.

Pasadena Playhouse, the State Theatre of California, has announced complete casting for their production of the original 1947 radio play of Miracle on 34th Street, which is being presented in honor of its 70th anniversary for a limited engagement of 14 performances from December 14 to 23 (press opening is December 15).
