The Wheel Theatre Company Presents Owen Panettieri's A BURIAL PLACE

The Wheel Theatre Company announces their newest production of A Burial Place by award-winning playwright Owen Panettieri at the DC Arts Center in Washington, DC. This production runs for two weeks from March 8-17, 2018 and is directed by Elizabeth Floyd.

Page 73 Productions Names C.A. Johnson The 2018 P73 Playwriting Fellow

PAGE 73 PRODUCTIONS (Page 73) (Michael Walkup, Producing Artistic Director; Jenny Lagundino, Managing Director; Liz Jones and Asher Richelli, Founding Directors) has named C.A. Johnson the 2018 P73 Playwriting Fellow. Selected from over 400 applicants, Johnson will receive a $10,000 award and additional $10,000 budgeted for developing several new plays over the course of the year.

Photo Flash: Chance Theater presents VIOLET; Opening Saturday

Chance Theater, Anaheim's official resident theater company, is pleased to announce its production of Violet, which will kick off its 20th Anniversary Season. The show has book and lyrics by Brian Crawley, music by Jeanine Tesori, direction and choreography by Kari Hayter, and musical direction by Robyn Manion. Violet will preview from February 2 through February 9; regular performances will begin February 10 and continue through March 4 at Chance Theater @ Bette Aitken theater arts Center on the Cripe Stage.

Michael Chekhov Association Awards Inaugural Zelda Fichandler Scholarship To Actress/Educator Michele Shay

The Michael Chekhov Association (MICHA), the not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving the artistic vision and technique of Michael Chekhov, today announced that Tony-nominated actress and educator Michele Shay will receive the first-ever Zelda Fichandler Scholarship. Established in Fall 2017 to benefit the next generation of Chekhov teachers and practitioners, the Scholarship provides full tuition for two weeks to MICHA's International Michael Chekhov Workshop, which takes place every summer at Connecticut College in New London, Connecticut.

Theater Resources Unlimited Presents How To Write A Musical That Works Workshop #2: Conflict & Obstacles, 2/25

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) presents the second workshop in the series How to Wrote a Musical That Works, Conflict & Obstacles, onSunday, February 25, 2018 from 10am - 6pm at NOLA Rehearsal Studio, 244 W 54th St., 5th floor, Studio 5. Submission fee is $10 for members, $20 for non-members. If accepted, it will be applied to a participation fee of $100 ($80 for TRU members). Those not selected will be invited and encouraged to attend the workshop as observers. The price is $55 ($35 for TRU members). Applications Open For Musical Theatre Writers At Rhinebeck Writers Retreat

Kathy Evans, Founding Executive Director of Rhinebeck Writers Retreat, announced applications are open for this summer. Nine musical theatre writing teams will be hosted for 9 consecutive weeklong residencies in the Hudson Valley between July 2 and September 3. All writers are eligible and their musical can be at any stage of development, as long as it has not been published or licensed. Selected writers pay nothing to participate and receive a $500 stipend. All costs are covered by donations to Rhinebeck Writers Retreat, including travel up to $750.  Writers with children are welcomed to apply and Rhinebeck Writers Retreat will accommodate their housing needs. There is no fee for applications received by February 16 and there is a fee of $20 for the final deadline of February 23.  All information, guidelines, and online application can be found at www.rhinebeckwriters.org.

MAC To Honor Sharon McNight, Ruby Rims, and James Gavin

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets (MAC) will present Tony nominee SHARON McNIGHT and RUBY RIMS with its 2018 Lifetime Achievement Awards at the 32nd Annual MAC Awards to be held Tuesday, March 27 at 7:00 pm at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in New York City.

Eclipse Theatre Company Announces 2018 Season

Chicago's Eclipse Theatre Company, the only theatre company in the Midwest to focus on a single playwright each season, has announced that they will feature the works of legendary American playwright William Inge for the 26th Anniversary, 2018 Season. Eclipse plans to explore the range of Inge's canon with three full productions, readings, and public events focused on the playwright and his works.

The Farm Theater Announces 2018-19 College Collaboration Project

Now in its fifth season of supporting emerging female writers The Farm Theater will present their 2018/19 College Collaboration Project with playwrights Kimberly Belflower and Erin Malon. The projects will kick-off in February when each playwright will have an opportunity to converse with groups of students from each of the partner schools via video, to discuss the theme they are writing about and shape the direction of their individual pieces. Each of the plays will have a three-day workshop, cast with professional actors, in NYC in August 2018. The projects will each culminate in a public reading in NYC in June 2019 with a cast made up of students from each school along side professional actors.

Writers Theatre Presents A MOON FOR THE MISBEGOTTEN

Writers Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma, presents A Moon for the Misbegotten, written by Eugene O'Neill and directed by WT Resident Director William Brown. A Moon for the Misbegotten runs February 7 March 18, 2018 in the Alexandra C. and John D. Nichols Theatre at 325 Tudor Court, Glencoe. The Press Opening is Wednesday, February 14 at 7:30 p.m.

Victory Gardens Theater Presents BREACH By Antoinette Nwandu

Victory Gardens Theater continues its 43rd season with BREACH: a manifesto on race in america through the eyes of a black girl recovering from self-hate, written by Antoinette Nwandu and directed by Lisa Portes. BREACH runs February 9 March 11, 2018, with the press performance on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 7:30pm at Victory Gardens Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue.
