The ABC Television Network has ordered a second season of freshman hit comedy “The Conners,” Karey Burke, president, ABC Entertainment, announced today. Ranking as television's No. 1 new comedy this season in Total Viewers (9.5 million) and Adults 18-49 (2.2/10), the self-starting ABC freshman led Tuesday's 8:00 p.m. half-hour in Adults 18-49 by 16% over its nearest competitor. During its first season, “The Conners” improved its time period by 33% in Total Viewers and by 22% in Adults 18-49, posting 5-year highs for ABC in the half-hour.

Cherry Lane Theatre proudly announces that its current production of ACTUALLY, WE'RE F**KED, which opened on March 7 and initially set to run through April 7, will now extend its run through April 21, 2019. ACTUALLY, WE'RE F**KED is a new play by Matt Williams and directed by John Pasquin.

Abingdon Theatre Company presented a one-night only special event, this past week: a staged reading of The Prompter, a new play by Wade Dooley, directed by Scott Schwartz at The Lucille Lortel Theatre (120 Christopher Street).

Abingdon Theatre Company announced today two special one-night only events to be presented next month.

Solo shows from all over the world are invited to submit for 2019 United Solo Theatre Festival. 'Before This New Year,' a coming-of-age identity and right-of-first-passage love story by playwright Liana Sonenclar, will play a reading for industry on Monday, November 19th at 7 PM, at the Jerry Orbach Theater at the Theater Center at 210 West 50th Street, and will feature a notable cast. The play is helmed by director Kimberly Loren Eaton, who has been working on the development of the piece with Sonenclar the past several months through her creative development and production company Theatrum Mundi Productions.
