New York Theatre Workshop, in association with producer Brian Moreland, will present a private reading of Thoughts of a Colored Man, a new play written by Keenan Scott II, directed by Taye Diggs (Rent, Chicago, TV's 'All American'), and choreographed by Jenny Parsinen (Allegiance), on Friday, November 30 at 3 PM at NYTW's Fourth Street Theatre.

The 2018 Stage Raw Theater Awards celebrate excellence on the Los Angeles stages in venues of 99-seats or under. This fourth annual edition included productions that opened between January 1, 2017 and May 31, 2018. Stage Raw is a community funded professional journalism website that was created in response to the decline of arts coverage in local mainstream and alternative media.The Awards ceremony was held Monday night, August 20, at Los Angeles Theatre Center, 514 S. Spring Street in downtown Los Angeles, hosted by Coeurage Theatre Company, and co-directed by Jer Adrianne Lelliott, Thaddeus Shafer and Lauren Ludwig. Winners notated in red below.

The Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival's Professional Company production of The Tragedy of Othello, the Moor of Venice is now in rehearsals. Shakespeare's powerfully relevant tragedy comes to Notre Dame in a compelling and contemporary new staging, set in a world torn apart by jealousy, mistrust, and racial strife ? a world not unlike our own. Othello cast & company members are now available for media interviews between July 31 ? August 3, 2018; Othello opens August 14, with 15 performances through August 26.

The Colorado Theatre Guild's 13th Annual Henry Awards will take place Monday, July 23, 2018 at the Lone Tree Arts Center, located at 10075 Commons St. Lone Tree, CO 80124. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails and the awards ceremony will begin at 7 p.m., followed by a reception at the Lone Tree Arts Center. Tickets are $35 for CTG members, $40 non-members or $45 at the door. Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival Announces Casting for OTHELLO

The Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival (NDSF) has announced the casting for its upcoming production of The Tragedy of Othello, the Moor of Venice. The flagship production of the 2018 season, Othello will feature stage & screen veteran Esau Pritchett in the title role, with celebrated stage actor Robert Ramirez returning to the NDSF stage as Iago, and featuring Delaney Feener as Desdemona, Maggie Kettering as Emilia, and Paul Hurley as Roderigo. Actors will be available for on- or off-camera interviews on July 31, 2018.

The Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival has announced its new season of dynamic, world-class productions, centered around stagings of two of Shakespeare's greatest works, Othello and The Merchant of Venice. The 2018 NDSF season will examine issues of race, immigration, and religion, and will encourage audiences, actors, scholars, and artists to consider the topics raised, and their implications for the community.

Of all of Shakespeare's comedies, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM is one that often rises to the top as a favorite for many theater-goers. Perhaps it is because of the universal themes of love and frolic, or maybe because it is a mix of the fantastical and ordinary, or perhaps because it is just downright funny and entertaining. But, whatever the reason one might have for loving this popular play by the Bard, the season opening production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM at Hartford Stage fulfills them all (and then some.)

Her goal is to produce August Wilson's American Century Cycle in Los Angeles in its entirety. What begin as a group of actors meeting up to read August Wilson plays at her house, has evolved into the first production.
