Culture Project (Allan Buchman, Founder & Artistic Director), in association with Innocence Project, Marc & Steven Kaplan, and Cheryl Wiesenfeld, will welcome Michael McKean (Gore Vidal's The Best Man) and Brooke Shields (The Addam's Family) to the rotating cast of the 10th anniversary production of the hit, award-winning play, The Exonerated, written by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen, beginning October 2nd through October 7th at Culture Project (45 Bleecker Street at Lafayette Street) where performances began September 15th for a limited seven-week engagement through November 4th.

It's not unusual for theatergoers at 45 Bleecker Street to see cheery 8x10 photos of the actors they're about to see displayed in the lobby, but those attending Culture Project's 10th Anniversary production of The Exonerated are greeted by more somber headshots.  Mounted before them are thirteen portraits by painter Daniel Bolick.  Titled The Innocence Portraits, they are the faces of people who spent 10… 18… as much as 27-and-a-half years in prison – a combined 71 years on death row – for crimes that DNA and other evidence eventually proved they did not commit.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director William Russo have announced that Red Dog Howls, written by Alexander Dinelaris and directed by Ken Rus Schmoll, begins performances tonight at 7pm at NYTW, 79 East 4 Street, between Bowery and Second Avenue. Opening night is scheduled for Monday, September 24 at 7pm. Award-winning actress Kathleen Chalfant (Angels in America, Wit) returns to New York Theatre Workshop in a landmark role, joining Florencia Lozano and Alfredo Narciso in the cast of this New York premiere.

Exoneree Sunny Jacobs, whose story is shared within the play, joins the cast for one-week, September 25 - 30. Additional casting will be announced shortly.
