The Writer's Theatre of New Jersey is kicking off their 2019 season with a series of new play readings in the new Madison Community Arts Center venue. This Winter Madison will be filled with writers eager to hear their pages come to life in front of an audience. Starting on January 3rd and going straight through until January 17th there will be 15 plays in 15 days.

Proud Haddock remembers the centenary of the Armistice at Jermyn Street Theatre with the dynamic and heartbreaking tale of Canadian war hero Billy Bishop. Written by John MacLachlan Gray with Eric Peterson, Billy Bishop Goes to War sees an older Bishop (Oliver Beamish) overseeing his younger self (Charles Aitken).
It's 1828. In the dank, mist shrouded streets of Edinburgh two enterprising men go about their business. Their goal is to make money by whatever means necessary. William Burke and William Hare are about to hit upon the perfect scheme. The first rule of commerce? Supply and demand. In the leading city for medical research, there's a huge demand for bodies and inconveniently people aren't dying in enough numbers to meet the need. The profitable solution? Murder, of course. As the infamous pair flourish in their new careers, the more they murder, the less they care. But for how long will they get away with it? How long will they go on making a killing?
