Earlier this week,  La MaMa  hosted a 29-hour Equity reading of Chix 6, with Book/Music/Lyrics by Lourds Lane. The event featured direction by Jackson Grace Gay, music direction by Wendy Bobbitt Cavett, and assistant music direction by Julie McBride.

Actors' Playhouse is proud to present Sondheim on Sondheim, an intimate multimedia portrait of musical icon Stephen Sondheim in his own words and music. This South Florida premiere of James Lapine's award-winning Broadway hit will play March 16 - April 3 at the Miracle Theatre.

So now it's all here again on the big stage at Actors' Playhouse. There's a cast of 27 directed by David Arisco, the king of big musicals, who doesn't let a flat moment slip into the two hour performance.

Nice workshop presentation of the world premiere of Diana Amsterdam's THE DODGERS. Maybe, joints should have been passed out along with the programs, so that the audience could be on the same plane as the characters in the opening scenes - as Dave Solomon directed - in a most relaxed, lethargic state of being high.

THE DODGERS will feature Corbin Bleu ('High School Musical'), Eric Nelsen (2015 Emmy Winner for 'The Bay Series'; Broadway: 13), Emma Hunton (Elphaba on North American Wicked Tour), Jared Gertner (The Book Of Mormon - Olivier Nomination), Asher Grodman, and Talisa Friedman. ?West Side Story, one of the greatest love stories of all time, returns to Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre almost 20 years since the company won South Florida regional theatre's Carbonell Award for "Best Production of a Musical". The show will run January 27 through February 21, 2016.
