Shakespeare's Globe is delighted to announce Michelle Terry's first season as Artistic Director. 2018's Shakespeare productions include Hamlet, As You Like It, The Two Noble Kinsmen, The Winter's Tale, Othello and Love's Labour's Lost. A premiere of three new plays, a national and international tour of Shakespeare and other performances on and off site are announced together with a year-long programme of events exploring the history and future of theatre censorship, as well as a series of events looking at race, refuge and refugees in relation to Shakespeare.

The critically acclaimed Shakespeare's Globe production of Farinelli and the King, a new play by Claire van Kempen, starring three-time Tony and Academy Award-winner Mark Rylance, opened this week at Broadway's Belasco Theatre.

St. Ann's Warehouse welcomes back the singular vision of Irish playwright/director Enda Walsh in the American Premiere of his gut-wrenchingly funny and achingly poignant Ballyturk, co-produced by Landmark Productions and Galway International Arts Festival, producers of Walsh's Misterman and last season's Arlington.

The 2017/18 season of world-class dance, music and theater continues as the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts (The Wallis) presents its third annual Winter @ The Wallis series. Other highlights include: The Wallis debut of the L.A.-based dance company Lula Washington Dance Theatre; a weekend celebrating the great jazz legend Arturo Sandoval along with other local jazz artists; the modern music collective wild Up under the baton of founder Christopher Rountree; the return of the innovative United Kingdom-based theater company Kneehigh with The Flying Lovers of Vitebsk; and the world premiere of Tom Dugan's Jackie Unveiled.

The critically acclaimed Shakespeare's Globe production of Farinelli and the King, starring three-time Tony Award-winner (Twelfth Night, Jerusalem, Boeing-Boeing) and Academy Award-winner (Bridge of Spies) Mark Rylance, begins tonight, December 5, 2017 in advance of an opening night on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Broadway's Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street).

Ars Nova, piece by piece productions and Z Space present the world premiere of The Lucky Ones, a new musical by The Bengsons (Hundred Days) and Sarah Gancher, commissioned and developed by Ars Nova.

Kneehigh's production of No l Coward's BRIEF ENCOUNTER, adapted and directed by Emma Rice, will be produced live on stage at the Empire Cinema Haymarket in London's West End by David Pugh & Dafydd Rogers, Jenny & Steve Wiener and The Old Vic. Following previews from 2 March 2018, the production will open on 11 March and play a limited season until 2 September 2018. Tickets are on sale from today.

Wise Children today announces that Judith Dimant and Poppy Keeling will join Emma Rice to lead the newly formed company. Keeling will take up her role as Executive Producer in the new year, with Dimant joining as Executive Director later in the Spring as the company launch nationwide. Both join Bristol based Wise Children from Complicit .
