The Thelma Gaylord Academy open house will be a great way for parents to meet the academy staff, ask questions, sign up for auditions, learn about the different classes offered during the fall semester as well as enroll.

Alfred Uhry's Pulitzer Prize winning play takes place in the deep South in 1948 and tells the story of Daisy Werthan, a rich and sharp-tongued Jewish widow who must rely on the services of a chauffeur, a thoughtful, soft-spoken black man named Hoke. In a series of scenes spanning 25 years, the two grow close and develop a unique friendship despite their mutual differences.

Lyric Theatre is set to hold auditions for its production of Sweeney Todd. They will be casting the following roles: Sweeny Todd, Anthony Hope, Johanna, Beggar Woman, Tobias Ragg, Judge Turpin, The Beadel, Pirelli, and Jonas Fogg. They are also looking for 5 Ensemble members/principal covers.
