St. Ann's Warehouse has announced programming highlights of its 2013-14 season, which will kick off in October with the American Premiere of the Donmar Warehouse's tremendously acclaimed all-female production of Julius Caesar.

Horse Trade Theater Group and Spookfish Theatre Company will present the World Premiere of ADVANCE GUARD by Ming Peiffer, tonight, May 8-19 at The Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street). The production will be directed by Kat Yen (Pornography for the People; The ABC's Guide to Getting Famous) and will feature David M. Farrington, Ben Kaufman, Alesandra Nahodil, Eamon O'Rourke, Matt Stillo, and Mari Yamamoto. The creative team will include Lighting Design by Porsche McGovern and Set Design by Norihito Moriya.

'Fire. Water. Night' by Yara Arts Group adapts spring and summer rituals into a World Music Theater piece that moves throughout the lobby, risers and playing areas of La MaMa's Ellen Stewart Theatre, reveling in the imagery of the spring thaw, of awakening forests and of midsummer fire rituals. The work, conceived and directed by Virlana Tkacz, interweaves performances in English and Ukrainian, including fragments of Lesya Ukrainka's verse drama, 'Forest Song,' poetry from Native American, Canadian and American authors, dance and song. It features a score by electronic music composer Alla Zagaykevych, traditional ritual songs from Ukraine and raucous dance music by Toronto's Lemon Bucket Orkestra. La MaMa E.T.C. will present the work June 7 to 16. The experience is highly visual and musical and is completely accessible to all audiences.

The Anata Project dance company, founded by Bay Area resident Claudia Anata Hubiak, has announced its spring season performances featuring two new world premieres - The Hush Hush Chronicles and Kittleslip. This evening of dance will also include a new work by guest artist Summation Dance from New York City.

Horse Trade Theater Group and StrangeDog Theatre will present the New York Premiere of BOOTSTRAPS by Ben Clawson, June 13-22 at UNDER St. Marks (94 St. Marks Place). The production will be directed by Artem Yatsuov with Assistant Director Amanda Mae Cohen and will feature Scott Cagney, Rob Hille, Paul Romano, and Sebastian Smeureanu. The creative team will include Lighting Design by Rebecca Bickley, Costume Design by Jason Caballero, Set Design by Peter Martino, and Sound Design by Artem Yatsunov. The production will be Stage Managed by Keila Fontanez-La Salle.

La MaMa, in association with Crossing Jamaica Avenue, presents the New York Premiere of the acclaimed Deadly She-Wolf Assassin at Armageddon!, featuring original music and a concept by Fred Ho, co-written by Fred Ho and Ruth Margraff, directed by Sonoko Kawahara, with martial arts choreography by Emmanuel Brown (Broadway's Spiderman) and Japanese sword fighting choreography by Yoshi Amao. The show runs from May 16 - June 2, 2013 at La MaMa's Ellen Stewart Theatre, located at 66 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue & the Bowery. Previews begin May 16 for a May 18 opening at 7:30pm. This year's Edwin Booth Award will be presented to the legendary theatre director and producer Woodie King, Jr., founding director of the pioneering African-American theatrical production and training institution New Federal Theatre. The New Federal Theater integrates minorities and women into the mainstream of the profession through artistic training and play production. Mr. King will be present to receive the award. The event takes place May 6th at the Martin E. Segal Theatre Center (MESTC) of The Graduate Center of City University of NY.

PAN ASIAN REPERTORY THEATRE will continue it's 36th Anniversary Season in tribute to Japan with the world premiere production of Ernest Abuba's DOJOJI: THE MAN INSIDE THE BELL, May 18 - June 9, 2013 at the Clurman Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd St.). The production is directed by PAN ASIAN REP's Artistic Producing Director, Tisa Chang and choreography is by Sachiyo Ito. The official opening will be on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 7:30PM.

Looking Glass Theatre, celebrating 20 years, brings back for a very limited run Frankie Little Hardin's East of the Sun, West of the Moon, a new children's play directed by Julia Sterling Martin and Naima Warden. East of the Sun, West of the Moon performs Saturday, June 1 and Saturday June 8 at 2 p.m at Richmond Shepard Theatre, located at 309 East 26th Street, at 2nd Avenue.

Williams with Literary Director Kate MacCluggage, May 23-June 8 at UNDER St. Marks (94 St. Marks Place between 1st Avenue and Avenue A). The production will be directed by Rachel Dart and Jenna Panther and will feature Lauren Berst*, Helen Coxe*, Tiffany Nichole Greene*, Zac Hoogendyk*, Bob Jaffe*, Paul Kite*, and Kristy Powers. The creative team will include Sound Design by Nick Abeel and Lighting Design by R.S. Buck. The production Stage Manger will be Kristine Schlachter.

'La Marie-Vison' tells the perversely fascinating tale of Marie, a transvestite prostitute who lives in elegant squalor with her dedicated servant. Every day, for eighteen years, Marie releases an exotic butterfly into the open fields of the living room. Every day for eighteen years the beautiful boy, imprisoned in her den, catches and kills it. The beautiful boy is tempted with visions of the outside world, free from the wiles of wicked Marie, but maybe the boy wasn't made for the outside world. Maybe none of us were.

With its production of 'Eterniday,' a new work by Charles L. Mee, Witness Relocation will apply its unique, pop-culture dance/theater style to a play that crams all of human history into one day, reflecting on the pain of life and the perennial elation of falling in love. La Mama E.T.C. will present the work's world premiere tonight, April 4 to 21 in its Ellen Stewart Theater, directed and choreographed by Dan Safer.

Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre and home of the U.S. Center of the International Theatre Institute (ITI-US), invites all theatres, individual artists, institutions and audiences to celebrate the 51st annual World Theatre Day today, March 27, 2013. Each year, a renowned theatre artist of world stature is invited by ITI Worldwide in Paris to craft an international message to mark the global occasion. This year the message was written by Italian Nobel Prize-winning playwright, director and actor Dario Fo, and has been translated into more than 20 languages to reach tens of thousands in the international theatre community.

The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, has announced that the 2013 Honorary Award applications are now available online at www.nyitawards.com. The applications for the 2013 Honorary Awards are available online and are due by 6pm on May 1, 2013.

John Scott's 2005 production 'The White Piece' receives its American premiere at La MaMa's Ellen Stewart Theatre, tonight, March 14-24. 'The White Piece' is presented by La MaMa in association with Irish Arts Center.

Matthew Paul Olmos' 'so go the ghosts of mexico, part one' -- selected by Sam Shepard as the inaugural play to be presented under the auspices of the first-ever Ellen Stewart Award -- will be given its world-premiere production by La MaMa (74 E. 4 St.) with preview performances starting April 11 prior to its official press opening on April 14, it has been announced by La MaMa artistic director Mia Yoo.
