Horse Trade Theater Coup Announces THE 5TH H.P. LOVECRAFT FESTIVAL, Beginning 5/18

Remember the good old days of SATURDAY AFTERNOON DOUBLE-BILL MATINEES? No? Well, RADIOTHEATRE does and we invite you to our season of LIVE STAGE presentations complete with RT's great cast of storytellers, custom orchestral music and award-winning sound design. Next up - every Saturday at 4pm - our hit series, THE H.P.LOVECRAFT FESTIVAL returns for the 5th time with cult favorites:

REANIMATOR - mad scientist HerBert West is at it again trying his best to resurrect the dead as his gay acolyte Collins retells the tale from a padded room at Bellevue. Filmed several times, REANIMATOR has a huge cult following. This is RT's 3rd version!

THE SHADOW OVER INNSMOUTH - A young traveler discovers a village where the residents have toad faces and fish eyes! Wait 'til you hear what he discovers next! Filmed several times, this is one of Lovecraft's most influential works and RT presents it with a truly innovative approach.

Of course, we do like to add some 21st Century touches...such as cinematic scripts, original orchestral sound tracks that you won't hear anywhere else, a plethora of aural effects and, sometimes, a few visuals, too...creating a unique live production with non-traditional, modern, innovative stage presentation!

HORSE TRADE THEATER GROUP is a self-sustaining theater development group; with a focus on new work that has produced a massive quantity of stimulating downtown theater. Horse Trade's Resident Artist Program offers a home to a select group of Independent theater artists, pooling together a great deal of talent and energy. It is also the home of FRIGID New York - the first and only festival of its kind in New York City. In 2011 Horse Trade received the New York Innovative Theatre Ellen Stewart Stewardship Award for demonstrating a significant contribution to the Off-Off-Broadway community through service, support and leadership.
