According to Entertainment Weekly,  Jim Parsons has been announced as the latest honoree at this years GLAAD Media Awards. Parsons joins previously announced Britney Spears who is also being honored. 

The Old Globe will celebrate in style at the 2018 Globe Gala on Saturday, September 22, in support of the theatre's arts engagement and artistic programs. The glamorous annual event will feature an exclusive, one-night-only performance by the incomparable Andra Day. Karen Cohn, Nina Doede, andSheryl White serve as Co-Chairs.

Set in the late 1950s, the film stars John Travolta as bad boy Danny and Olivia Newton-John as good girl Sandy. Sing along to favorites 'Summer Nights,' 'Greased Lightnin',' 'Beauty School Dropout,' 'You're the One That I Want,' and more! Everyone is encouraged to dress up in your best '50s garb, be it Pink Ladies, T-Birds, or Rydell High Staff!
