Raue Center Hosts 'An Evening with Steve Cochran & Friends'

Raue Center For The Arts is excited to welcome Steve Cochran back to the stage along with special guests John DaCosse and Mike Toomey! Join Raue Center for this can't-miss evening of hilarious comedy at 8 p.m. on March 24, 2018!

"We are thrilled to have Steve Cochran back on Raue's stage. He and the entire team make us laugh and lighten any mood," says Raue Center Executive Director, Richard Kuranda. "It's always a highlight of the year and sure to be a fun time. If you are looking for a remarkable night out, look no further!"

A radio personality for over 30 years, Steve Cochran has hosted his own show from coast to coast, settling in Chicago in the late '90s. He has also worked as an actor, appearing in several films, including "Grumpy Old Men," and also worked as a writer for "Saturday Night Live." Throughout his lengthy career, Cochran has also performed stand-up comedy with many of the greats in the business.

Cochran loves getting out and doing live performances about four times a year, including his annual New Year's Eve show, now in its seventeenth year! He is best at hosting his own show, and since returning to WGN and being named host of the WGN Radio morning show from 6 a.m. - 10 a.m., he has followed in the "mic-checks" of legends such as Wally Phillips, Bob Collins and Spike O'Dell, and returned the best morning talk show to its rightful place at number one!

A WGN Radio personality, John Da Cosse has developed a solid reputation nationwide. He has opened for big name comedians including Ellen Degeneres, George Lopez, Craig Ferguson and Billy Gardell, and has appeared on NBC, Comedy Central and TBS. DaCosse has served as an audience warm-up for many TV shows, including the Rosie O'Donnell and Oprah Winfrey shows, and can be seen at Zanies Comedy Clubs in the Chicagoland area and Funny Bone and Improv comedy clubs across the United States. He can also be heard, along with his character voices, as a regular on the Steve Cochran morning show on WGN.

Known for his sharp delivery, quick wit and unique style, Mike Toomey has been a favorite at comedy clubs and special events since 1982. A regular performer on the WGN Morning News, he has appeared in concert with names such as George Carlin, Wayne Newton, Crosby, Stills & Nash and Reba McEntire. Toomey has performed on numerous TV programs, including HBO's U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado, MTV's "Half Hour Comedy Hour" and A&E's "Comedy on the Road."

Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased online at rauecenter.org or via the Box Office at 815.356.9212 or at 26 N. Williams Street in downtown Crystal Lake.
