Musical Comedy BASTARD JONES Sets Off-Broadway Opening Date

Nancy Manocherian's the cell (Artistic Director, Kira Simring) will present the Off Broadway Premiere of BASTARD JONES, a rock musical comedy based on Henry Fielding's bawdy 18th century novel, The History of Tom Jones. With book, lyrics, & direction by Marc Acito (Broadway's Allegiance) and music & lyrics by Amy Engelhardt (Grammy nominees The Bobs), performances begin June 14 at the cell. Opening is slated for Thursday, June 22.

The National Association for Music Education (NAfME) congratulates music educator Melissa Salguero on being honored with the prestigious 2018 Music Educator AwardTM. The honor presented by The Recording Academy and the GRAMMY Foundation is well-deserved. Melissa is a member of NAfME and the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA). This is the fifth year the Music Educator Award has been presented, and all five years the winners have been members of NAfME: Kent Knappenberger (2014); Jared Cassedy (2015); Phillip Riggs (2016); Keith Hancock (2017); and now Melissa Salguero (2018).
