New York-based composer Gerald Cohen (www.geraldcohenmusic.com), known for his moving and vibrant chamber music, opera, choral and liturgical music, announces an exciting and important upcoming world premiere: Voyagers, to be performed with astronomical projections at New York's esteemed Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History on November 28th, is a new quintet inspired by the Voyager space mission.

America's Oldest Continuing Summer Chamber Music Festival, Music Mountain, continues its 88thseason with Cassatt String Quartet with guest artist Mihae Lee, piano on Sunday, June 25th (3pm) performing Mendelssohn, Beethoven, and Shostakovich. The New Black Eagle Jazz Band kicks off the weekend on Saturday, June 24(6:30pm)! Concerts are scheduled thru September 17th!

On June 9, National Sawdust, 80 N. Sixth Street, Brooklyn, will present 'Kaze (The Wind) / Harmonic Constellations,' an evening of two premieres starring Mari Kimura, the renowned violinist/composer who is best known for her use of subharmonics and interactive motion sensor technologies. The evening will offer debut performances of 'Kaze (The Wind),' an audio/visual chamber piece composed by Kimura, and 'Harmonic Constellations,' an entrancing work of microtonal harmonies composed for her by Michael Harrison. It will also unveil µgic, a new digital music controller, and launch two CDs.
