Jessica Wu's BRASS HEART THE MUSICAL Gets Benefit Workshop Presentation

Royal Family Production (RFP) will present a benefit workshop presentation of the new musical Brass Heart by RFP associate artistic director Jessica Wu. The musical will be directed by Chris Henry with choreography by Lorna Ventura and will take place on Sunday, April 2nd with a special pre-show cocktail reception ($250, reception begins at 5pm) and Monday, April 3rdat 12:30pm. Royal Family Performing Arts Space is located at 145 West 46th Street, 3rd Floor. Tickets can be purchased by visiting www.RoyalFamilyProductions.org.

BWW Review: Don Scardino Brings Musical Chops and Tales from his Illustrious and Hilarious Career to Feinstein's/54 Below in NOTHING TO HIDE

They say, in life, it's all about who you know. Luckily for Don Scardino and his audiences at his two shows at Feinstein's/54 Below on February 18, he has friends in very high places. The show, DON SCARDINO WITH JOHN MILLER: NOTHING TO HIDE, was Scardino's first at the cabaret venue, and the seasoned performer, director, and musician brought a welcomed (though not-so-fresh) air of breezy yesteryear listening--- along with salivating showbiz tales, of course.

The Secret Theatre Announces the Cast of KING LEAR

Artistic director, Richard Mazda, and frequent collaborator, director Alberto Bonilla (Richard III, Merchant of Venice, Raft of Medusa) have teamed up again for The Secret Theatre's upcoming production of King Lear.

As previously announced, celebrated star of stage and screen Taye Diggs and Jenny Parsinen (Allegiance) will choreograph the benefit workshop production of Keenan Scott II's powerful and moving play thoughts of a COLORED MAN on a day when the sun set too early, from February 4-6, 2017 at Royal Family Performing Arts Space (145 West 46th Street, 3rd Floor).

The New York Musical Festival (NYMF), previously known as The New York Musical Theater Festival, will honor Tony and Grammy Award winning composer and lyricist Duncan Sheik, Casting Director Tara Rubin, and former NYMF Board Member and Treasurer Frank Troutman at its 2016 Gala hosted by Mo Rocca on Sunday, November 13 at the Edison Ballroom in Midtown Manhattan (240 W 47th St, New York, NY 10036).

The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) has announced the performer lineup for the Women of Note concert series, celebrating female, queer and trans artists who are changing the landscape of musical theatre. Featuring dynamic sounds and incredible performers, this one-night-only concert event will showcase even more artists than last year in two back-to-back performances.  Women of Note will take place at The Duke on 42nd Street (229 W. 42nd Street) on Monday, August 1 with two separate lineups at 6:30 pm and 9:30 pm.
