Award winning musical theatre songwriter, Michael Finke, comes out of 'writing hibernation' and returns to 54 Below this spring with an all new and innovative theatrical concert. Audiences can expect to hear an array of new material as well as some audience favorites from musicals such as Reporting Live, Caroline and George, and Other People's Relationships. The evening will also include several world premiere songs from the upcoming operetta, Hurricane.

Broadway LeAps Onstage to Hold Benefit Concert

Broadway LeAps Onstage, a concert to benefit LeAp (Learning through an Expanded Arts Program) OnStage, will be held Thursday, November 13th at 8pm at the Davenport Theatre. The event, raising funds and awareness of theatre arts education in underprivileged schools in New York, will feature composers and performers such as Scott Alan ('Anything Worth Holding on To'), Drew Gasparini (Crazy, Just Like Me), Anna Bergman (Lincoln Center's American Songbook), and Jessica Vosk (The Bridges of Madison County).

Composers Brett Ryback and Alexander Sage Oyen continued the series on April 7, 2014, immediately following the 7pm performance of Murder for Two at New World Stages (Stage 5 - 340 West 50th Street).

54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, has announced plans to augment its diverse programming with a varied new series of in-house productions including a new interview series, a new musicals-in-concert series (following-up on the success of the club's wildly successful High Fidelity in Concertevent), and a program for new composers. The venue will continue to present its popular Sondheim Unplugged series featuring some of Broadway's brightest stars sharing performances and behind-the-scenes anecdotes from their favorite Sondheim musicals.
