Opera Colorado's STEAL A PENCIL FOR ME Features Holocaust Love Story

Opera Colorado has announced their 2017 - 2018 season, which continues to enrich and diversify the scope of its programming with their second world premiere in two years, while also staging enduring works from the classic repertoire. The three-production season will feature the world premiere of Steal a Pencil for Me, a WWII romance based on a true story, with music by Gerald Cohen and libretto by Deborah Brevoort; Giacomo Puccini's beloved classic La Boheme; and Giuseppe Verdi's masterful comic opera Falstaff. In 2017 - 2018 Opera Colorado will also continue to explore performing in diverse venues throughout the community, staging Steal a Pencil for Me at the Elaine Wolf Theatre at the Mizel Arts and Culture Center, MACC at the JCC.

New Solo Show Written and Performed by Jack Fry Comes to the Mizel Arts and Cultural Center

Einstein! comes back from the beyond in the Elaine Wolf Theatre at the Mizel Arts and Cultural Center, 350 S. Dahlia St., Denver, CO 80246 for one performance only at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 20. Tickets are $18 - $20 and availble atmaccjcc.org/jaamm or by calling 303-316-6360.  Upset with the way his image has been cheapened, he tells us the remarkable, suspenseful, and sometimes harrowing story behind relativity and his struggles as a father.

Denver Children's Theatre to Present ART DOG, 3/13

Denver Children's Theatre presents ART DOG, opening on Sunday, March 13th at 1 p.m. This professionally staged production will be presented to the public on Sundays through May 1st and to school groups most weekdays March 11th through May 6th at 10 a.m. The show is presented in the Elaine Wolf Theatre at the Mizel Arts and Culture Center located at 350 S. Dahlia Street in Denver and is recommended for preschool through 5th grade.

Denver Children's Theatre's RUMPELSTILTSKIN Now Playing Through 4/27

Families and school groups will marvel at the magic of the live theatre production of 'Rumpelstiltskin'. This show takes the stage in the Elaine Wolf Theatre at the Mizel Arts & Culture Center (MACC) at 1 p.m. on Sundays from March 9 through April 27 (no performance April 20). Denver Children's Theatre Presents LILLY'S PURPLE PLASTIC PURSE, 3/10-4/28

Lilly is an exuberant young mouse facing all-too-familiar issues at home and in school. Although she courageously stands up to bullies and delights in teaching her friends to spell backwards, Lilly still needs to learn important lessons about family, friendship and forgiveness. Through clever dialogue, fast-paced scenes, realistic characters, and yes, even cheese, the award-winning playwright Kevin Kling creates an entertaining and insightful tale.

Photo Coverage: 'Broadway Musicals of 1970' At Town Hall

Broadway Musicals of 1970 was presented by The Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street) on Monday, June 15th at 8PM. Concluding its ninth season with this concert, the critically acclaimed Broadway By The Year® series is known for great singing and spectacular Broadway dancing. The series is created, written and hosted by Scott Siegel for The Town Hall. The show was directed and choreographed by Fred Astaire Award nominee Jeffry Denman, who also performed in the show.
