Arena Stage Announces Virtual Audition Intensive

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater has announced its newly created virtual audition intensive. Developed and led by Arena Stage's Community Engagement department, the online intensive prepares students and artists ages 16-22 for careers in theater with group and private coaching sessions in audition techniques.

Cats. Possibly the most recognisable Andrew Lloyd Webber creation, known worldwide for its elaborate feline choreography and signature song 'Memory'. Its profile makes it the perfect candidate to close the 'The Shows Must Go On' streaming series of Lloyd Webber productions, which has successfully raised over $500,000 across the past seven weeks.

The Shows Must Go On! YouTube Channel will offer fans two streaming options to view Cats!: the regular broadcast (below) and the broadcast with composer Andrew Lloyd Webber providing personal insights and memories of the creation of Cats! which has become a worldwide musical phenomenon. Webber's live commentary will commence today, May 15 beginning at 2:00 PM EST. Fans can submit questions to Webber via Twitter using #ALWCats.
