St. James Theatre has announced that Anita Dobson, star of stage and screen, will join Edward Seckerson to discuss her varied career on Sunday 20 March at 3pm. One of Britain's most distinguished actresses, Dobson's extensive list of credits ranges from popular TV staples like EastEnders to classical theatre and musicals.

Twelve student finalists from top drama schools across the UK competed for the title of this year's Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer of the Year (SSSSPOTY), on Sunday 17th May at the Garrick Theatre in London's West End. Each student sung a song by Stephen Sondheim and, at his personal request, they each sang a new musical theatre song, written by members of Mercury Musical Developments and shortlisted for the Stiles & Drewe Best New Song Prize. The passion, complexity and pure joy of singing SONDHEIM knows no bounds for a performer, but for the 12 finalists of this year's The Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer Of The Year Competition 2014 (SSSSPOTY), all will be revealed as they sing their hearts out competing for the title on SUNDAY 18 MAY at 3pm at the West End's GARRICK THEATRE. As if that weren't enough for them to sing in one afternoon, at SONDHEIM's request, the 12 finalists will also be singing the 12 new musical songs that are competing for The Stiles & Drewe Best New Song Prize.

Ahead of Gavin Creel's Singular Sensations appearance on April 20th at the Charing Cross Theatre, we today reveal that musical theatre fans can expect an exclusive treat as it is confirmed that he will perform a track of his own. This is a charity event in support of Gavin's nominated charity West End Serves and some of his fellow The Book of Mormon cast members will be on hand to help with a bucket collection at the end of the show.
