In March, the BBC invited young music-makers of all technical abilities, musical backgrounds and styles from across the UK to enter a composition for the BBC Young Composer competition. Applicants were required to submit their entry online, using any instruments and method of composing that suited them.

Get a first look below at the brand new tour of the critically acclaimed West End hit play Shakespeare in Love, currently playing at Theatre Royal Bath until 13 October, with opening night for press on Thursday 11 October. The new production, directed by Phillip Breen, will also tour to Nottingham, Malvern, Oxford, Cambridge, Edinburgh and Chichester until 24 November.

The winner of the seventh Papatango New Writing Prize, Tomcat by James Rushbrooke will receive a four week run at Southwark Playhouse from Wednesday 28 October (press night: Friday 30 October 8pm) to Saturday 21 Nov 2015. The director is 2014 JMK Award winner Kate Hewitt, who is currently Associate Director on Sam Mendes' Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in the West End.

The Broadway runs of WOLF HALL: PARTS 1 & 2 officially come to an end this weekend. Based on the novels by Booker Prize-winner Hilary Mantel, WOLF HALL ends its 15-week engagement today, July 5, 2015, at the Winter Garden Theatre. Liverpool-born writer Stephen Sharkey has created the hilarious and absurd Sex and the Three Day Week from Georges Feydeau's L'Hotel du Libre Echange. The cast includes Edward Harrison, Natalie Casey, Javier Marzan and Eileen O'Brien and runs from Friday 5 December 2014 to Saturday 10 January 2015.
