The Broadway runs of WOLF HALL: PARTS 1 & 2 officially come to an end this weekend. Based on the novels by Booker Prize-winner Hilary Mantel, WOLF HALL ends its 15-week engagement today, July 5, 2015, at the Winter Garden Theatre. At the time of closing, the run will have included 66 performances of Part 1 and 58 performances of Part 2. Below, BroadwayWorld takes you back to WOLF HALL's beginning on Broadway!

WOLF HALL: PARTS 1 & 2, which explores the deceit, betrayal, and intrigue of the court of Henry VIII, is written by Dame Hilary Mantel and adapted by Mike Poulton. This special event invites theatergoers to be part of a unique theatrical experience, similar to the Royal Shakespeare Company's award winning production of The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby.

The productions transferred to Broadway after sold-out engagments at both the Royal Shakespeare Company's Swan Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon and Aldwych Theatre in the West End. Watch one of the first promos for the Broadway run below!

WOLF HALL: PARTS 1 & 2 began previews on March 20, 2015 at the Winter Garden Theatre. Scroll down for photos and highlights from the productions!

Both parts officially opened on April 9, 2015, and BroadwayWorld was there to capture all the festivities, including the red carpet, opening bows (photos by Kevin Thomas Garcia) and more!

During WOLF HALL's run on Broadway, BWW was able to sit down with the cast as part of our Conversations Q&A series with the Screen Actors Guild Foundation. Watch below to find out how the company felt about bringing the plays to New York and so much more!

Last month, WOLF HALL: PARTS 1 & 2's Christopher Oram took home the 2015 Tony Award for Best Costume Design of a Play. Check out what he had to say during his acceptance speech and after he stepped off the Radio City stage!

The stage adaptation of Hilary Mantel's in-depth and captivating novels brought history to Broadway this season. Thank you to the company and creative team for sharing this amazing work with New York!
