? The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture (18 Bleecker Street) announces the fall and winter programming of their 2016-2017 season. Featuring thought-provoking theater, film, music, poetry, art, and discourse, The Sheen Center will continue several successful series launched in their inaugural season, as well as maintain a focus on fostering new talent. Building on its first season that featured David Mamet and a re-envisioning of his play The Anarchist; Comedian Jim Gaffigan; speaker Michael Bloomberg; a panel discussion on Netflix's Daredevil with Marvel TV; red carpet screenings and an extended run of the hit play Universal Robots by Mac Rogers, the Sheen Center continues its excellence in diverse programming.
Intersection Theatre presents Pearls & Poison, or The Appropriate Amount of Rouge, a spell-binding story of unlikely murderers. Conceived by producer and director Yolanda Ferrato, the work is inspired by the violence of children's rhymes and the macabre works of artists such as Edward Gorey and Hillaire Belloc. Pearls & Poison premiers at Hub 14 for a limited Toronto engagement from September 16th to September 18th.

Through the month of October, The Penny Seats enjoyed a sold-out run of the musical revue Tomfoolery, celebrating the words and music of satirist, mathematician, and cult favorite, Tom Lehrer, at Ann Arbor's Conor O'Neill's Irish Pub and Restaurant, 318 South Main Street, Ann Arbor. The two companies have partnered to offer this cabaret-style show, with dinner seatings available starting around 6:00 pm, and performances at 8:00pm. Due to high demand, an additional performance date has been added: November 9.
