Dark & Stormy Productions today announces the three actors and director for its upcoming regional premiere of Sunshine by William Mastrosimone. Previously, Dark & Stormy has presented Outside Providence by Edward Allan Baker, Speed-the-Plow by David Mamet, The Receptionist by Adam Bock, The Drunken City by Adam Bock, The Hothouse by Harold Pinter, and Extremities by William Mastrosimone. Sunshine will conclude Dark & Stormy's 2015 season.

Growing up in a blue-collar family in Rhode Island, sisters Dolores and Sandra both dreamt of a life more meaningful, far from the home they grew up in. Now adults, both women are dependent on men and both are vulnerable. Sandra has settled for security within the safety of domesticity, whereas Dolores has used her sexuality as currency in the pursuit of a more exciting life. On an unexpected Sunday afternoon, both sisters share a moment of revelation. Dolores takes audiences on a journey that explores universal themes of family, love, relationships and resilience as well as the darker aspects of domestic violence.

They've played professional tennis, recited slam poetry, and pirouetted in a tutu, as well as acted classically, comedically and experimentally. But all have chosen to spend the last three years in New York City, two express subway stops from Broadway, following their dream and refining their craft as actors, directors or playwrights in the only Masters' theater program endorsed by the renowned Actors Studio.
