The National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene [NYTF] presented the citywide mega-festival KulturfestNYC this past summer. David Mirvish announces additional shows and new details about his 2015-16 theatre season. Consisting of seven shows in the Main Subscription and three shows in the Off-Mirvish Subscription, the season also has eight shows that will be presented outside of subscription. In total, Mirvish will produce and/or present 18 shows in four different theatres - The Royal Alexandra, The Princess of Wales, The Ed Mirvish and The Panasonic.

Starvox Entertainment announced today it has signed David Arquette (Scream, Friends) to play the title role in an original adaptation of Sherlock Holmes inspired by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's classic tales by the late Canadian playwright, Greg Kramer. Sherlock Holmes premiered in Montreal in 2013 in a sold-out, critically acclaimed production at The Segal Centre directed by Andrew Shaver, who will remount the show for a North American tour, playing Toronto's Ed Mirvish Theatre from October 27 to November 8, 2015.

David Mirvish is extending for the final time the Toronto production of the Tony Award-winning 'Best Musical' ONCE. The production, which began performances at the Ed Mirvish Theatre on February 10, 2015, will now play until June 28. But the show must leave the Ed Mirvish Theatre on that day because Disney's production of NEWSIES moves into the venue the following week.
In the 2015-16 season, David Mirvish will present 14 shows in Toronto, consisting of seven shows in the Mainstage Subscription Series, three in the Off-Mirvish Subscription Series and four shows off-subscription.
I never saw Once, now playing at The Ed Mirvish Theatre in Toronto, during the National Tour's engagement here last year.
