Broadway's Deon'te Goodman (currently performing in Hamilton) will be flying from NYC to LA just for this special performance of FREEDOM RIDERS: In Concert on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. He will be playing civil rights activist John Lewis. The concert, presented by MostlyNEWmusicals will be at Feinstein's at Vitello's in Studio City, California on January 20th.

New Village Arts is excited to announce the final production of its eighteenth season: LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman. New Village Arts announces a change in programming for its eighteenth season. NVA had previously announced a summer production of the West Coast premiere of BELLA: AN AMERICAN TALL TALE, but due to staffing changes and material challenges, NVA has made the difficult decision to cancel the production. NVA's Executive Artistic Director, Kristianne Kurner, says, "All of us love BELLA, but we want to be sure we produce it when we are confident that we can put our best minds together with enough time for rehearsal to be successful."

New Village Arts is pleased to announce the upcoming production of SMOKEY JOE'S CAFE: THE SONGS OF LEIBER & STOLLER, a celebration of iconic American songwriting partners Jerry Leiber and Michael Stoller, who wrote some of the most timeless rock-n-roll songs of the 1950s. The production is directed by Tony Houck, with choreography from Michael Mizerany.

Scott Lapp (SDMT's First Date), with choreography by Jill Gorrie (SDMT's Singin' in the Rain, 42nd Street, Damn Yankees), and music direction by Don LeMaster. Hairspray runs August 3 - September 2, 2018 at the historic Horton Grand Theatre, with press opening on Saturday, August 4 at 8:00 PM.

The dynamic trio known as EmSeize brings a night of musical entertainment to the intimate cabaret setting of Coronado Playhouse Saturday May 31, 2014 from 6-7:30 p.m. Kim Miller, Brittney Caldwell and Eboni Muse joined their talents in our recent sold out and extended production of the hit musical 'CHICAGO'. Now they are the new singing group, EmSeize, performing throughout Southern California with their repertoire of classic standards, Broadway show tunes, and many other song styles.

Sold out audiences have filled Coronado Playhouse since CHICAGO'S opening last month. The show has now been extended for one more week with performances continuing until Sunday March 2, 2014.
