NewFest - the Film and Media Arts organization that will present its annual festival of LGBT cinema from October 20 to October 25 in partnership with Outfest and sponsored by HBO - announced today that Emmy Award-nominated actor Tituss Burgess ('Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt') will be receiving NewFest's very first Voice & Visibility Award during the festival.

Academy Award winner Rachel Weisz (The Deep Blue Sea) and Timothy Spall (Mr. Turner) star in this riveting, true-life drama about the courtroom showdown between historian Deborah Lipstadt and notorious Holocaust denier David Irving.

But if not then you should get yourself down to the Center House Theatre to catch Sound Theatre Company's current production of "One Man, Two Guvnors". THE RED BARN, a new play by David Hare, based on the novel, La Main, by Georges Simenon opens in the Lyttelton Theatre on 6 October (press night 17 October).

AMERICAN IDIOT was recorded as a 'punk rock opera' and won a Grammy in 2005 before it was adapted into an award-winning Broadway musical in 2009. Previews were Thursday, June 23 and Friday, June 24 at 7:30pm. Opening is Saturday, June 25 at 7:30, and this limited run engagement of ten performances continues through Saturday, July 23. The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present the return of singer/songwriter Victoria Shaw in "Under The Covers" on Monday, May 16.  Victoria's special musical guests were Matthew and Gunnar Nelson, of the multi-platinum selling band, Nelson, Drew and Jonathan Scott, from the hit TV series 'Property Brothers,' superstar pianist Jim Brickman and 'Madam Secretary' star Erich Bergen. I love musicals. The excitement of seeing a performance that only exists for one singular moment in time, so exquisitely choreographed in a hundred different ways to flow seamlessly, will never get old for me. I love when the lights go down at the beginning of a show, because literally anything is possible.

Just last night Broadway favorite and star of The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt Tituss Burgess celebrated the launch of his new wine- Pinot by Tituss Burgess.
