From a selection of 40 short plays, six plays have been chosen as the winning scripts from the 34th Annual Samuel French Inc. Off-Off Broadway Short Play Festival, which concluded yesterday, July 19th at Off-Broadway's Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street).
Broadway's Pierce Cravens (Ragtime, Titanic) and Marshall Pailet (Adventures of Tom Sawyer, A Christmas Carol) will star in Geek Ink's production of Thucydides as part of this year's Samuel French Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival. The one-act play is written by Drew Fornarola and Scott Elmegreen (COLLEGE The Musical) and directed by Dev Bondarin (Raised by Lesbians).

In the past few months, the program received 42 submissions for consideration, out of which one new work was selected to be developed by Pace. This year, Pace New Musicals proudly presents the world premiere reading of Darling, a new musical with music and lyrics by Ryan Scott Oliver and a book by B.T. Ryback.

The New York Musical Theater Festival concluded its fifth season on October 5th having presented 241 performances over the course of 21 days. A record-breaking 25,000 people, selling the festival to 87.5% of capacity, attended the festival. Over 75% of productions had sold-out performances, and 11 productions extended their runs to accommodate demand.
The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) concludes its fifth year which featured 24 full productions, a dance series, a developmental series, concerts and special events tonight 10/5th.
After a twice-extended world-premiere engagement at the Hippodrome State Theater this summer, COLLEGE The Musical is set to make its New York City professional premiere September 18 - 28 at ATA Chernuchin Theater as part of the New York Musical Theater Festival.
