After selling out every single performance at this year's New York International Fringe Festival and winning the 2009 FringeNYC Overall Excellence Award for Outstanding Play, DEVIL BOYS FROM BEYOND begins its run at the 4th annual FringeNYC Encores Series September 15th on a raft of rave review, and has sold out its first performance. There is limited ticket availability for the remaining four performances, with best availability on Friday the 25th and Saturday the 26th at 10:30 PM.

In his 5-Star review, Adam Feldman of Time Out New York raved: "Buddy Thomas's deliriously campy sci-fi spoof, one of the most entertaining shows I have ever seen at the Fringe Festival, is naughty, gleeful fun.... If there were any justice in this mixed-up world of ours, the whole show would be tractor-beamed Off Broadway tomorrow." Robin Rothstein of Nytheatre.com said: "Given the oversold house during its first performance, and the audience's enthusiastic reception, Devil Boys from Beyond may be a downtown hit in the making and remain on Earth beyond the Fringe, but as of now that's just wishful thinking, so catch Devil Boys while you can. I guarantee you'll laugh your anal probe off."

Elisabeth Vincentelli of the NY Post called Devil Boys "Devilishly funny" and said the show is "the Fringe Festival at its best."
Summer of 1957 is a scorcher and something strange is going on in the swamps of Lizard Lick, Florida. With rumors of missing people and giant spaceships running rampant, star NYC reporter Mattie Van Buren races down in search of her next Pulitzer, her booze-hound ex-husband, Gregory Graham in tow, and her arch-enemy, Lucinda Marsh hot on her heels to scoop her story. Muscle hunks and men in pumps! INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS meets HIS GIRL FRIDAY in this outrageously insane comedy by Buddy Thomas, author of the smash off-Broadway hit, THE CRUMPLE ZONE.

Kenneth Elliott, co-founder of Theatre-in-Limbo and director of VAMPIRE LESBIANS OF SODOM, PSYCHO BEACH PARTY, THE LADY IN QUESTION, and many others, directs an all-male cast that includes Everett Quinton, of The Ridiculous Theatrical Company, and Andy Halliday (also from Theatre-in-Limbo); Paul Pecorino; Chris Dell'Armo; Peter Cormican; Robert Berliner; Jeff Riberdy; and Jacques Mitchell. Costumes are by Gail Baldoni. Wigs are by Gerard Kelly. Original Score and Sound Design is by Drew Fornarola. Lighting Design is by Vivien Leone. Scenic Design is by B.T. Whitehill. Previous productions by MadCaP include revivals of THE MYSTERY OF IRMA VEP and PSYCHO BEACH PARTY.
