Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures in association with Unique Features and Jujamcyn Theaters announced today that Jordan Gelber (Avenue Q, All My Sons) will play Broadway's favorite elf, 'Buddy' in the hit holiday musical ELF. He will be joined by Leslie Kritzer (Sondheim on Sondheim, A Catered Affair) as 'Jovie' and Mitchell Sink as 'Michael' in his Broadway debut.

Ghostlight Records has announced that the release of the long-awaited cast recording of Carrie: The Musical has topped the Musical Album Charts on Amazon.com for 24-hours straight and counting, ahead of staple best sellers Wicked, Jersey Boys, and Once, among others.

Broadway In Chicago and producers Whoopi Goldberg, Stage Entertainment and Troika Entertainment are thrilled to announce casting for the North American Tour of five-time Tony Award® nominated musical SISTER ACT, starring Chicago actress Hollis Resnik as Mother Superior and Ta'Rea Campbell as Deloris Van Cartier. SISTER ACT will play the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University (50 East Congress Parkway) Nov. 13 - Dec. 2, 2012.

According to the Daily Mail, Douglas Hodge will play Willy Wonka in Sam Mendes', Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman's musical adaptation of Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on the West End at Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

Theatre Ventures in association with Unique Features announced today that the hit musical ELF will star Tony® Award winner Beth Leavel (Emily), Tony® Award nominee Mark Jacoby (Walter), Valerie Wright (Deb), Adam Heller (Mr. Greenway) and Michael Mandell (Store Manager). Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures, Neal Street Productions and Kevin McCormick today announced that their production of Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will now open at Theatre Royal, Drury Lane in June 2013. Previews start on 18 May 2013. The production was originally slated to run at the London Palladium.

Some of the biggest names on Broadway have graced the Joe's Pub stage. The tradition continues this month and into the fall when some of Broadway's finest vocalists and performers, including Sasha Allen and Ute Lemper, head downtown from the Great White Way to dazzle at Joe's.

Variety reports that ELF is indeed headed back to Broadway this winter, and that the show will play the Al Hirschfeld Theater for 9 weeks, from November 9 to January 6 before KINKY BOOTS takes the theatre in the Spring.
