MCC THEATER (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, William Cantler, Artistic Directors; Blake West, Executive Director) announced today that Carrie, now in previews at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street), has extended its run by popular demand, and will now play performances through April 22, 2012.

The New Mel Brooks Musical -Young Frankenstein, a new musical comedy from the creative team of the 12-time Tony Award winning smash, The Producers, is coming to Austin! Young Frankenstein opened on Broadway November 8, 2007 at the Hilton Theatre and began the national tour September, 2009.

It was an 'Ugly Betty' reunion at HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING when Tony nominee Vanessa Williams stopped by the Al Hirschfeld Theatre to see Michael Urie as 'Bud Frump' in the show. The actress posted the photo on her WhoSay page, with the caption: 'Backstage w my best #UglyBetty pal @michaelurie starring on broadway in #How2SucceedInBusinessWithoutReallyTrying. Today, February 8, Lincoln Center filmed the matinee performance of SISTER ACT for their famed archives. The show will now be preserved amongst the Broadway classics at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center Plaza.

Deadline.com is reporting that Raven-Symoné, known most for starring on the Disney Channel's THATS SO RAVEN will take over for the Tony and Olivier nominated Patina Miller in Broadway's SISTER ACT. The web site reports that she will begin rehearsals at the end of February, and will debut at the end of March 2012 for a 6 month engagement in the show.

The producers of the newly imagined production of ON A CLEAR DAY YOU CAN SEE FOREVER starring Grammy and Emmy Award winner, Tony Award nominee and multi-platinum recording artist Harry Connick Jr announce the show will play its final performance on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at The St. James Theatre, 246 W. 44th Street. The musical will have played 29 preview and 57 regular performances.
