In 2010, he released his first solo gospel project entitled, FIRE, under the name J.E.Jones. Prior to that, his successes included songwriter, producer and vice president at the renowned Def Jam records co-founded by Russell Simmons. He also climbed the ladder to become Vice President of A&R at Uptown Records working with top hip-hop and R&B superstars including Mary J. Blige, Heavy D and Montell Jordan. Additionally, making his mark in the broader entertainment world serving as Executive Producer of two the biggest movie sound tracks of that era, Rush Hour and The Nutty Professor.
