On Sunday, April 19th, guest artists from over 32 Broadway shows are assembling in what has become an annual tradition at The Richard Rodgers School, PS 166. The Manhattan Upper Westside school baring the name of America's greatest lyric composer, Richard Rodgers, annually hosts this one night benefit concert, 'Broadway Sings', in support of arts education.
An industry reading of the new musical MANUEL VERSUS THE STATUE OF LIBERTY, which debuted in concert form at the New York Musical Theatre Festival, and won the 2014 NYMF Developmental Reading Series award, will be presented Jan. 28, 2015. The musical, directed by Jose Zayas, is an Official Grand Jury Selection of the 2015 New York Musical Theatre Festival.

Musical Director for the evening will be Tedd Firth.
t may not be like getting a gift on each of the 12 Days of Christmas, but for cabaret and musical theater lovers, the 6th Annual Urban Stages Winter Rhythms series--presented over a dozen nights at the not-for-profit Off-Broadway theatre on 259 West 30th Street--could be the closest thing to opening a daily present by the tree. From December 2-14 (no shows on Dec. 9), more than 100 singers, musicians, and songwriters will perform in an eclectic mix of 20 shows including one-night-only group shows, excerpts from new musicals, solo shows, open mics, late night spotlights, and family matinees, with all the proceeds from ticket sales dedicated to the Urban Stages On Tour Outreach Program that brings more than 200 free multicultural theater and music programs to elementary and middle school age children and their families in libraries and schools throughout NYC five boroughs.

Spirit Award Winner and Drama Desk Award Winner Doreen Montalvo (IN THE HEIGHTS, GIANT, FLASHDANCE) will be celebrating her birthday by hosting Cabaret Cares 9, a benefit for 'Help Is On The Way Today,' a not-for-profit organization assisting children and teens living with HIV/AIDS in both New York City and Africa. The Monday, Nov. 24 show will feature performances by her talented friends, whom she calls 'The Ladies Who Rock.'

Musical presentations started October 23 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street) and included Beautiful Poison, Cubamor, Great Wall, How To Break, Mary Marie, The Noteworthy Life of Howard Barnes, String and Stu For Silverton. To kick off Brodway On 22nd Street Season 4, the series will include Doreen Montalvo Mann, Andrew Chappelle, Michael Lewis Mejia, and Televsion, Film and Broadway Star Anita Gillette, September 7 at 7pm.
Four years ago the first ever Broadway On 22nd Street was produced by Joseph Macchia, the concept of the show to bring someof the most talented up and coming Broadway Actors and well as some very well known ones and introduce the to the world of Cabaret.
