Doreen Montalvo to Host 'Cabaret Cares 9' Benefit, 11/24

Spirit Award Winner and Drama Desk Award Winner Doreen Montalvo (IN THE HEIGHTS, GIANT, FLASHDANCE) will be celebrating her birthday by hosting Cabaret Cares 9, a benefit for "Help Is On The Way Today," a not-for-profit organization assisting children and teens living with HIV/AIDS in both New York City and Africa. The Monday, Nov. 24 show will feature performances by her talented friends, whom she calls "The Ladies Who Rock."
Slated to perform: Elizabeth Acosta (THE SECRET GARDEN, CYRANO), Erika Amato (FLASHDANCE, SIGNS OF LIFE), Kim Dunbar, Stephanie Klemons (IF/THEN, IN THE HEIGHTS), Ilene Kristen (GREASE, RYAN'S HOPE), Sue Matsuki (MAC Award Nominee), Liz McEndry (THE PRODUCERS), Christie Prades, Gretchen Reinhagen (MAC Award Winner), Jennifer Sanchez (SPIDER-MAN, WEST SIDE STORY), Alicia Tomasko (IN THE HEIGHTS), Nancy Ticotin (DAMN YANKEES, TOTAL RECALL), and Susan Winter (MAC Award nominee).
