Photo Coverage: Another Opening, Another Show, Jamie deRoy & Friends Play the Birdland Theater

Birdland Theater, the new venue spawned from the legendary Birdland on 44th street had a 'soft' opening this summer, followed by a bunch of celebrity openings in September. It had another entertainment first last night because Jamie deRoy brought her friends and her renowned Jamie deRoy & friends Variety show to this great new performance space. The evening had all the glamour and excitement of a Broadway opening night, the kind of evening Ms. deRoy can usually be found at.

Rockers on Broadway Come to Le Poisson Rouge

The Path Fund Inc. presents this year's ROCKERS ON BROADWAY: 25th Anniversary Benefit Concert on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 8 p.m. ROCKERS ON BROADWAY, the original Broadway rock concert series, a fun unique charity event, featuring The Broadway All Star's Band. Proceeds to benefit Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS as well as several non-profit performing arts education programs.

Adirondack Theatre Festival's 24th Summer Season to Include CALLING ALL KATES

The 24th season of the Adirondack Theatre Festival will feature the concert reading of the hilarious romantic comedy Calling All Kates. The show will open at the Charles R. Wood Theater, located at 207 Glen Street in downtown Glens Falls, and run July 22nd and 23rd. Performances will start at 7:30pm. Tickets are $28 and can be purchased at the Wood Theater Box Office, online at ATFestival.org, or by calling (518) 480-4878.

MAC'S 2018 Lakeside Pavilion Free Outdoor Summer Series Includes Three New Components

McAninch Arts Center, located at 425 Fawell Blvd. on the campus of College of DuPage (COD), presents the 2018 Lakeside Pavilion Free Outdoor Summer Series. Programming runs July 12-Aug.10 and includes a Thursday evening Family Movie Series, the Thursday evening WDCB Live Jazz Concert Series and a Friday evening Pop Music Series. One of the highlights of the Friday evening series promises to be the July 20 New Philharmonic pops concert, which will be broadcast on Facebook Live for the second year in a row.

Programming runs July 12-Aug.10 and includes a Thursday evening Family Movie Series, the Thursday evening WDCB Live Jazz Concert Series and a Friday evening Pop Music Series. One of the highlights of the Friday evening series promises to be the July 20 New Philharmonic pops concert, which will be broadcast on Facebook Live for the second year in a row. New for this season: To help insure everyone's safety in light of the growing popularity of the series, seating for films and evening concerts will begin at 6 p.m. No admittance will be allowed prior to 6 p.m. for sound check and security reasons.  Admission to Lakeside Pavilion Summer Series events and parking is always free.

Broadway Bound Kids' third annual Broadway Bee, which took place on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Le Poisson Rouge, was a major success, raising over $40,000 in funding for performing arts education opportunities for NYC youth. A comedic adult spelling bee, the Broadway Bee, featured actors from hit Broadway shows competing in a hilarious live event. Lee Aaron Rosen from the Tony Award nominated Broadway revival of Angels in America took home the coveted Broadway Bee trophy.

New spellers have been added to Broadway Bound Kids' third annual Broadway Bee on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 7 PM at Le Poisson Rouge (158 Bleecker Street). The comedic spelling bee, Broadway Bee, features actors from hit Broadway shows competing in a hilarious live event, while raising funds to provide a wide range of performing arts education opportunities for NYC youth. FOREVER PLAID Returns to Benefit BC/EFA

Off Broadway's iconic harmonious hit, Forever Plaid returns to New York for a limited engagement to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS for three special performances on April 5th, 6th and 7th (7PM) at the Laurie Beechman Theatre at West Bank Cafe (407 W. 42nd Street).
