Comedian Anthony Jeselnik Adds Third Show At Paramount Theatre

Comedian Anthony Jeselnik is bringing his new 2023 stand-up tour, Bones and All, to Denver, CO at Paramount Theatre October 19 & 20 and due to overwhelming demand, a third show has been added on Thursday, October 19! His Fall tour will include over 30 different cities across North America with new material.

Downtown Urban Arts Festival Kicks Off Next Month

The DOWNTOWN URBAN ARTS FESTIVAL will present 16 plays (nine shorts and seven one-acts.) The festival kicks off on Friday, May 5 and Saturday, May 6 when Savion Glover and Reg E. Gaines (Bring in da Noise Bring in da Funk) make a much-anticipated return to The Public Theater with the centerpiece production If Trane Wuz Here.

Interview: Director John Farmanesh-Bocca On His Vision For PICNIC By William Inge

John Farmanesh-Bocca is a multi-award-winning physical theatre director, the Founding Artistic Director of both Not Man Apart - Physical Theatre Ensemble (2005-2015) and Shakespeare Santa Monica (2003-2014). Now he has shifted gears to go on a search for America by directing the sensual, passionate, and delightfully funny Pulitzer Prize winning play Picnic by William Inge, with his version featuring an entirely Black American cast. Opening the Spring season at Polka Theatre is a new musical adaptation of Jack and the Beanstalk from the team behind We're Going on a Bear Hunt. Co-written by Polka's outgoing Artistic Director, Peter Glanville with music by Barb Jungr, and directed by Roman Stefanski, Jack v Giant offers a gender-swapped take on the fairy tale for ages 4 to 8.

As a comedian he performs at comedy clubs, festivals and on TV around the world, while as a lawyer he has helped the Center for Gender and Refugee Studies defeat the Trump administration in court. He's at London's prestigious Soho Theatre for one night only.
