Following a milestone anniversary year, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival will celebrate its 91st season this summer.

Dallas Black Dance Theatre (DBDT) celebrates Black History Month by performing works that share slices of life, culture, and history in its Cultural Awareness Performance Series. The performances feature two world premieres by Gregory Dolbashian and Sean J. Smith and two modern dance classics by master choreographers Donald McKayle and Matthew Rushing.

Dallas Black Dance Theatre's 46th Season spring performances feature four world premieres and timeless classics from choreographers Donald McKayle, Chanel DaSilva, Gregory Dolbashian, and DBDT's own Sean J. Smith and McKinley Willis.

Professional ballet dancer and Broadway actress Deanna Doyle (former Meg Giry in Phantom of the Opera and Astaire Award nominee for Tuck Everlasting) stars in a newly released short dance film in which she dances the role of the Dew Drop Fairy in 'Waltz of the Flowers' from Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker Suite. After the tragic loss of the Doris Duke Theatre to a fire in November 2020, Jacob’s Pillow has announced that the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation has awarded a $10 million grant —the largest received in Jacob’s Pillow’s 90-year history—toward the building of a new, reimagined Doris Duke Theatre, slated to open in 2025.

Jacob's Pillow has announced “Jacob's Pillow On Demand,” an array of new digital offerings that will premiere this fall through spring 2023, marking the next stage in the company's development as a year-round crossroads for dance presentation, creation, education, and preservation, both in-person and online.

Unavailable Memory: In Conversation with Cunningham & Cage is an evening of dance and music presenting Merce Cunningham's Totem Ancestor (1942) and Loops (1971) and six piano compositions by John Cage.

Returning to Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival for the first time since 2002, Denver-based modern dance company, Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble, will perform in the Ted Shawn Theatre from Aug. 17-21, with pieces enriched in emotion, femininity, war, race, and elegance.

Limón Dance Company will celebrate part of its 75th anniversary season at the Pillow in the fifth week of Festival 2022 from July 20-24. The program will feature works by Limón, Doris Humphrey, and Olivier Taparga. In addition, Music From The Sole will perform tap's afro-diasporic roots on the Henry J. Leir stage from Wednesday through Sunday.

In the third week of Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival 2022, audiences in the Ted Shawn Theatre will be treated to live music and the best of the swing dance world in SW!NG OUT. Also in Week 3, JazzAntiqua Dance & Music Ensemble, Prakriti Dance, Bill Shannon, and The New York Korean Performing Arts Center will take to the outdoor Henry J. Leir Stage.

Ronald K. Brown / EVIDENCE will return to Jacob’s Pillow in Week 2 of the Dance Festival this year from June 29-July 3. The company will perform several works, including the world premiere of The Equality of Night and Day, with noted jazz composer Jason Moran playing live for each performance.

Vintage Theatre Productions announces 10 shows and two special events for the 2022-2023 season. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. at Vintage Theatre, 1468 Dayton St. in Aurora. Early bird season tickets are currently on sale.

Ballet Tech’s Kids Dance will return to The Joyce Theater (175 Eighth Avenue) with a program devised by the organization’s new artistic director, Dionne D. Figgins. The production celebrates founder Eliot Feld, featuring some of his early Kids Dance pieces as part of Ballet Tech’s expanding repertory.

Manhattan contemporary ballet company Neville Dance Theatre will celebrate sixteen years of performing and producing dance in New York City, with a return to the stage in a special production comprised of the World Premiere of 'Beethoven Suite' and a revival of repertory work 'Children's Corner', entitled 'Beethoven and Ballet'.

The Department of Theater and Dance at UC Santa Barbara has announced another exciting year of performances, this time back in-person. This season includes everything from unique takes on old classics to new and original works in both theater and dance.
