Ashland New Plays Festival today announced the schedule for its 27th annual Fall Festival, which takes place October 17-21, 2018, at the Unitarian Center, 87 4th Street in Ashland.

Shakespeare Royal Oak kicks off its 18th season in Royal Oak's Starr Jaycee Park Thursday night with the opening of Much Ado About Nothing. The Tell-Tale Farce comes to Stagecoach Theatre Jan 12 through Feb 3. The show is an American farce by Don Zolidis and directed by Shelby Bay. Edgar Allan Poe is just coming off the success of 'The Raven'. So a wealthy dowager commissions him to write her a poem for a vast sum. Only problem: the man who shows up to write the poem isn't Poe, he's Poe's mailman, and he's on a quest to woo the dowager's spinster niece. This is a freewheeling, door-slamming farce with a touch of the macabre.

Critics have praised the show calling it 'the next Rocky Horror Show'. Directed by Jason Howard, the show opens September 30 and runs through October 1 and 2, 2016.
