Transcendence Theatre Company, now in its 4th season presenting summer concerts in Sonoma Wine Country, is perhaps best known for 'Broadway Under the Stars,' an award-winning series of Broadway-inspired concerts featuring performers from Los Angeles and New York - artists who come to the Sonoma stage directly from recent Broadway appearances. Hosted by Obie award winning writer-composer Polly Pen (Bed and Sofa, Arlington) it will feature original songs from NYU's Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program's cycle 24. Proceeds for the concert will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Organizer Marella Martin says, "This concert represents our public entry into the musical theatre community.
