Broadway in Portland is pleased to announce its 2019/20 Season with a schedule full of classics, brand-new productions, and hit musicals direct from Broadway.

FROZEN, the Tony-nominated Best Musical, will launch a North American tour in the Fall of 2019 and will officially open at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles during the 2019-20 season.

Just this evening at BroadwayCon in midtown Manhattan, the Oscar-winning songwriting team behind Frozen – and newly-Oscar-nominated for Best Original Song for “Remember Me” from Coco – Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez announced that four brand new songs written for the Broadway musical will be released on consecutive Fridays beginning February 23, 2018, the day after Frozen's first Broadway performance at the historic St. James Theatre.

Disney Theatrical Productions and Miller Auditorium announced today that tickets for the West Michigan premiere engagement of Disney's The Lion King go on sale to the public this Friday, Dec.1. Disney's The Lion King will leap onto the Miller Auditorium Theatre stage on April 4, 2018 for a limited 2 week engagement through April 15.

As part of the 2017/2018 CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield Hippodrome Broadway Series, Disney's The Lion King opens tonight, Thursday, November 16, at the Hippodrome Theatre for a limited engagement of four weeks through Sunday, December 10.

Disney Theatrical's new Broadway musical Frozen will join Disney Theatrical hits Aladdin and The Lion King on Broadway, beginning performances at the St. James Theatre on Thursday, February 22, 2018 and opening Thursday, March 22, 2018. In celebration of the 20th Anniversary of The Lion King on Broadway, and to thank the city of New York for being its home for the past 20 years, the show is giving away every ticket via a free lottery to the evening performance on Wednesday, November 15th at 8pm at the Minskoff Theatre.

Frozen concluded performances of the seven-week pre-Broadway engagement with the Denver Center for the Performing Arts on October 1, entertaining 125,900 patrons during 47 performances.

The Bachelor's Ben Higgins and fiance Lauren Bushnell attended the long-running Disney musical THE LION KING last night! Higgins was featured on this latest season of The Bachelor that ended earlier this week.

Disney Theatrical Productions in partnership with OCESA celebrate the world premiere of the first Spanish language production of THE LION KING in Mexico at the Telcel Theatre in Mexico City.

Disney's THE LION KING stage musical has now achieved the most successful box office earnings of any work in any media in entertainment history.

Casting has been announced for the Dallas engagement of Disney's THE LION KING. Dallas' most eagerly awaited stage production ever will leap onto the Music Hall at Fair Park stage from Wednesday, October 2 to Sunday, October 20. The press opening night is Friday, October 4 at 7:30 p.m. The show's previous two engagement in 2002 and 2007 played sold-out runs at the Music Hall.
