Southbank Centre Announces Premieres From Established And New Artists For 2019 Autumn And Winter Programme

This Autumn, Southbank Centre showcases some of the most pioneering new artists using performance to challenge societal norms including dancer and choreographer Oona Doherty, performance artists Travis Alabanza and Nicola Gunn, and theatre makers Lisa Hammond and Rachael Spence. Alongside these artists, Southbank Centre welcomes back three important companies experimenting with form and challenging the audience experience; Reckless Sleepers, and two Southbank Centre Associate Companies - Forced Entertainment and Shobana Jeyasingh Dance. Winter sees offerings for all ages with the return of Circus 1903 with new acts for 2019 following its huge success last Christmas, the arrival of a new dynamic interpretation of Black Beauty, and a fresh show from favourites Fascinating A da.

NUNSENSE Comes To The Union Chapel

Let there be light… applause and laughter. Actress and comedian Dillie Keane will lead the cast in new production of the original irreverent comedy musical Nunsense, as it makes a pilgrimage to London for a limited run at Union Chapel 18-20 July.

FASCINATING AIDA's Adele Anderson Joins Cast Of DOCTOR DOLITTLE

Fascinating Aida's Adele Anderson is confirmed to join Mark Williams, who plays Doctor Dolittle, in the UK & Ireland Tour of Doctor Dolittle. Adele will play Lady Bellowes/Poison Arrow at the first six venues of the tour - Bromley, Salford, Oxford, Wolverhampton, Newcastle and Hull. There will be a national press night on Thursday 17 January 2019 at the Oxford New Theatre.

Grumpy Old Women Live (GOW Live) are set to embark on a brand-new 60-date nationwide tour with To The Rescue from 28th March to 24th June 2018. Perrier Award winning comedian, writer and star of GOW Live Jenny Eclair welcomes the return of original cast member Olivier Award-nominated actor, singer and comedian Dillie Keane (Fascinating Aida) and new recruit, actor and comedian Lizzie Roper (Hollyoaks Ch4, Boy Meets Girl BBC Two) for a brand-new 90 minutes of 'full-fat', 'batteries included' comedy.

Programme Announced For BEAM2018 The Biennial Industry Showcase Of New British Musical Theatre

Musical Theatre Network and Mercury Musical Developments today announce the programme selected from their pitching days held around the UK between September and November for BEAM2018. Fifty-eight of the new British musicals pitched at these days have been selected to be shared at the biennial industry showcase which will next year be held at Theatre Royal Stratford East on 1 and 2 March. BEAM is designed for anyone in a position to help develop and stage new British musicals to attend, bringing the most exciting musical theatre projects together from around the UK for industry professionals to grab the opportunity to become involved from the early stages of development.
