The Watermill Theatre announces the full cast for its production of A Little Night Music with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by Hugh Wheeler. The production is performed for the first time by a company of actor-musicians and follows the outstanding success of past Sondheim productions at The Watermill Theatre, including the Tony award-winning Sweeney Todd which transferred to the West End and Broadway. A Little Night Music is at the centre of The Watermill Theatre's 50th anniversary season and runs from Thursday 27 July to Saturday 16 September.

Previously announced cast members Josefina Gabrielle (Desirée Armfeldt), Alastair Brookshaw (Fredrik Egerman) and Dillie Keane (Madame Armfeldt) will be joined by Rachel Dawson (Liebeslieder), Alexander Evans (Frid/Liebeslieder), Phoebe Fildes (Countess Charlotte), Alex Hammond (Count Carl-Magnus), Alice Keedwell (Liebeslieder), Lucy Keirl (Anne Egerman), Neil MacDonald (Liebeslieder/Show MD), Tilly-Mae Millbrook (Fredrika Armfeldt), Benedict Salter (Henrik Egerman) and Christina Tedders (Petra/Liebeslieder).

A Little Night Music will be directed by Paul Foster whose Watermill credits include Tell Me On A Sunday and Laurel and Hardy, with award-winning Sarah Travis as Musical Supervisor whose previous Watermill productions include Sweeney Todd, Mack and Mabel and Pinafore Swing.

Based on Ingmar Bergman's Smiles on a Summer Night, A Little Night Music is a passionate story of intertwined love affairs, regret and longing centred on elegant actress Desirée Armfeldt, and her family and flirtations with a beautiful score that includes the iconic songs Send in the Clowns and A Weekend in the Country. It will be designed by David Woodhead with lighting designed by Howard Hudson, sound designed by Tom Marshall and choreography by Matt Flint.
